Hello lovely people,
Thought I’d write a quick review, nothing too fancy or formal, but something readable! I wanted to just write about my two recent reads, not that the books are new. My first book was Hard Girls by Martina Cole and the second was Daddy’s Girls by Tasmina Perry. I’ve actually had these books on my bookcase for a few months, untouched.
I feel Martina Cole is boring. I know that after reading Hard Girls, I don’t think I will be reading any of her books again. I must admit she does create the scene and deliver good characters, but I was not intrigued enough to even finish the book. I ended up asking my friend who was the murder! I felt the book was just dragged out far too long. It felt like I was just reading the same thing just written in a different way every few pages. Anyway, like I said, nothing too formal, just me ranting a little.
Now, Tasmina Perry’s novel Daddy’s Girls was a good read. I was quite intrigued with her characters and their lives. She, for me had a great way of creating the scene. Unlike Martina Cole’s Hard Girls, Tasmina Perry’s novel moves at a nice pace. It doesn’t feel like she’s just filling up a word count.
Anyway, the next review I do it will be much better than my ranting! I am capable of writing a great book review.

Please do read for yourself… You never know you might just disagree with me!!!

Edith, a young adult from London has a dream of styling the world’s most famous celebrities. Being considered as a fashionista by her friends and family, she has a keen eye for fashion trends. Taking her interest in fashion and her quirky eye catching style, Edith is now working to make her dream a reality. Recently securing an internship to work with some of New York’s finest stylist to the stars, Edith is on her way.
I managed to catch up with Edith on her most recent shoot. In this shoot she explained that all four of her models had a different theme. There I got to witness how she interacted with her models. I sat back and watched as she made sure each of her models had the right accessories for their outfits, and hair and make-up represented each of their themes.
The first model to be styled was her ‘Lace Odyssey’ (See pictures). She explains:
“The detailing on the dress is lace. I gave her a bun hairstyle to give her an elegant look. Black wedges to match the black detailing of the dress. And green eye make-up and red lips to make her face pop.”
Her second model was ‘Game On’ (See pictures).
“She is wearing a boob tube top, this is like a bralette. We got extra short shorts similar to running shorts. I’ve finished this look off with Jordan trainers and a very trendy white sports watch.”
Third model ‘Sorbet Diva’ (See pictures).
“Sorbet term means baby powered colours, basically, baby blue, baby pink and baby green. Today she has on a white all in one, some glittery shorts, baby green anklet socks and gold wedges to match the shorts. Her eye make-up is baby blue and her lips a baby purple, this make-up matches her whole theme.”
And lastly, her fourth model ‘Sports Lux’ (See pictures).
“This is quite a new trend that has come in for 2012. My model is wearing a bright coloured dress with popping shoes and socks to match. Her hair is pulled back from her face in a bun to open up her eyes. This look is bang on trend for this year, for all those who didn’t know.”
So there you have it. Four models all with their own individual themes, styled by Edith.(Pictures are avaliable!)
